Wondering about safe places to take your kids trick or treating? Here is a list of a few I found:
- The Boise Factory Outlets - 10am-8pm - Costume Contest at 6pm and a Parade of all the Kids
- Boise Towne Square - Beginning at 6pm
- Check Your Local Church for their Trunk or Treat Programs
- Downtown Nampa - 3pm-5pm
- Cabela's - During Store Hours - Go to each department for treats
- Hyde Park in Downtown Boise - Until 8pm
- Garden City Library - During Library Hours
- The Canyon County Courthouse - 1115 Albany St., Caldwell - 2pm-4pm
- Cherri's Pumpkin House, 6517 Grandview Drive, Boise - With amazing decorations and 60 hand-carved pumpkins
- Harrison Blvd in Boise - The Ada County Highway District will have a safety station set up from 4pm-8pm and will be giving away free safety reflectors. You can request a reflector before Halloween by contacting ACHD at 387-6100 or e-mailing tellus@achd.ada.id.us.
- The Morris Hill Neighborhood Association (which is actually my neighborhood) in Boise will also be passing out reflectors throughout the evening. The neighborhood encompasses the following area: Alpine->Emerald and Roosevelt->Curtis
- Head to the Smethers home at 1896 N. Waterfall Ave. in Meridian (between Ten Mile and Linder roads in the Crystal Springs subdivision) for "Scream for Hunger," a benefit for Coats for Kids and Idaho Foodbank. Take a coat, canned good or other donation and see an ornate green Halloween display made entirely out of recyclable materials. The Smethers will pass out candy and greet guests
- Karcher Mall - 4pm - Also has a Spooky House for the kids ($3/child or $10/family)
- Harvest Carnival at The Bowmont Community Church in Nampa - 6:30-8:30pm - Free
- Harvest Fest '08 - Christian Faith Center on Midland - 6pm-9pm - Free - Lots of fun and lots of treats!
